ABOUT US

The rolling hills of the Five Valleys provide the dramatic backdrop to the Zardi & Zardi studio in the heart of the Cotswolds. This beautiful location is often the inspiration behind the pieces and colourways developed to become part of the Zardi & Zardi Portfolio. Zardi & Zardi is a small team dedicated to producing original designs from beautiful historic tapestries and offer an exclusive service tailored to each clients’ specifications, with every product printed to order.

Zardi & Zardi was founded in 2004 by PJ Keeling at the start of the digital print revolution, his aim being to showcase the historic beauty of tapestries by creating a range of high-quality decorative wall hangings on natural linen. Developments in technology meant that he could reproduce facsimiles with the patina and subtleties of colour that result from hundreds of years of ageing. Zardi & Zardi quickly established itself as a company able to produce museum-grade reproductions of antique tapestries and subsequently has manufactured pieces for many historic houses and organisations including Kensington Palace, Blenheim Palace, Warwick Castle, The National Trust and English Heritage. Zardi & Zardi continue to offer the Tapestry Reproduction Service: when an historic house has to send a tapestry (or set of tapestries) away for conservation and cleaning, or a specific tapestry is required for a period drama in a film or TV production - whatever the reason, Zardi & Zardi are happy to accommodate and provide a replica of the finest quality.

Over the years Zardi & Zardi’s portfolio of tapestries has grown and in 2016 PJ decided to diversify and develop a range of fabric and wallpaper products from original tapestry designs so that more people could own a beautiful piece of history. Zardi & Zardi produces a gorgeous range of linen fabrics and wallpapers, offering a portfolio of products together with a bespoke design service. Zardi & Zardi have worked with a broad range of clients including the owners of historic houses, museum curators, interior designers, hospitality and wedding venue proprietors, art directors from the film and TV industry and many more. The Projects Page offers further details and in situ photography.

Most recently, the Zardi & Zardi Capsule Collection was created. A ready-made collection of linens and wallpapers in standard sizes, which includes the unique concept of tapestry repeat patterns. The collection has enabled Zardi & Zardi to contact a wider audience with the added convenience of customers being able to purchase new and exciting products directly online.
