Leeds Castle Aubusson & Espalier
A set of five Aubusson tapestries from the Green Dining Room at Leeds Castle. These tapestries are believed to be from Aubusson, France, where they produced mainly large decorative wall hangings. The Leeds Castle tapestries depict pastoral scenes bordered by Ionic columns and swags of flowers. Large legends hang from the architrave, containing musical instruments, farming tools and further flowers.
In addition to the original 5 tapestries we offer this as a panorama suited to fabric walling or curtains, panels suitable for upholstering bedheads and a gorgeous complimentary repeat pattern, Leeds Castle Aubusson - Espalier.
