Our Warriors Tapestry Wall Hanging is based on one of a set of five tapestries depicting The Story of Rome by Jan van Rottom, woven in Brussels from 1660 – 1670. Tumultuous battle scenes fill the tapestries depicting the death of Remus with warriors locked in combat and horses dramatically craning their necks. Cavalry soldiers armed with pikes bravely fight beneath shields decorated by double-headed eagles.
